1. Prep your skin

• Apply your base makeup (foundation, concealer, etc.) before blush.
• If you’re skipping foundation, make sure your skin is moisturized so the blush blends smoothly.

2. Use the right amount

• Start small: liquid blushes are highly pigmented. One dot or a tiny dab is usually enough.
• You can always add more, but it’s harder to take away once it’s set.
  

3. Placement matters

• For a lifted look: Apply slightly above the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards toward the temples.
• For a youthful, fresh look: Apply directly on the apples of your cheeks and blend outward.
• For a sun-kissed effect: Dab across the cheeks and lightly over the bridge of the nose.
  

4. Blending techniques

• Fingers: Warm the product with your fingertips and tap it in for a natural, skin-like finish.
• Brush: Use a stippling brush to softly diffuse the blush without disturbing your base.
• Sponge: A damp beauty sponge helps absorb excess pigment and gives a seamless finish.
  

5. Layer smartly

• Apply liquid blush before setting powder for the smoothest blend.
• If you want extra intensity, layer a powder blush on top to lock in color and add dimension.
